Settling down to an unusual sort of groove...

Well, we're still in Canberra, still lazing around in the sunshine and enjoying the fact that we are not...
a) Sharing a bathroom with anyone.
b) Having to listen to anyone snore (other than each other, but we've got used to that)
c) Having a kitchen that when we clean, will stay clean and we know it is clean.
Yes, those things make me sound old, boring and pedantic but you really have no idea. We've also got a wonderfully huge couch in front of an adequate television where the Winter Olympics gets constant showing. It's heaven.
We've even had a touch of culture with a visit to the Parliament - a visit we are going to repeat tomorrow in order to catch 'Question Time' live (feel we should while we are here). I also reckon we'll go to the High Court eventually to see view that too, I just don't know if I'll be able to get Fiona out the building afterwards... (because she's a criminal, or because she's a fanatic about law? I shall let you decide)
But, dear reader, we did intend to make some money while here in Canberra. I've started doing some barwork - an easy shift during the afternoon at one of the busiest bars. There's enough to do to keep it interesting, and enough sport on the TV to entertain if all the chores are done.
Fiona is working at club run by the local workers union. She is there at the moment while I laze around on the aforementioned couch, on her first shift. I'll be sure to get her to blog tomorrow.
And that's about it. We're really being very lazy. Many people have questioned this tactic, but I'm really enjoying it as a change - we get to talk to people who perhaps wouldn't normally talk to tourists, we get to see things and do things and experience life in a different place; full of similarities and differences.
Don't worry, we'll be on the road again soon.
