A treat for you all...only 2 days after Stu blogged, it is now my turn to do the same :)
The first thing I must note, is that Stu missed out on one of the best things that we did when we were in San Francisco...or I should say that we did on the 1st when we were not up for doing much else! We went to see Avatar in 3D. Now the film was excellent. Nothing too amazing in terms of the storyline, but in 3D it is just so great. It was also our 1st 3D movie and i must say, it is something that I will be doing again :)
We are still alive! We promise!

Wow. I am super sorry about the lack of updates that have been happening - I'll take full responsibility (and point it at Fiona. Everyone knows she's the lazy one...). Ahem. Anyway, here's what's been happening since we last left you....
27th - Vancouver
it's the most wonderful time of the year

So, we arrived at the Dunn compound to find it busy!
Aunt Audrey, David and Sue, Sarah, Emma and Megan, Catherine, Ian, Jamie and Peter...the Dunn family! And what wonderful people they were. The kids ranged from age 5 to age 11 - all of them were very excited about Christmas. In fact, when we arrived they had all been allowed to open one present early. I quickly found my place playing polly pocket with Megan (6)...in fact I was barely allowed to eat my dinner....Stu of course was soon lost to the play station with David and Ian!

Gosh, we've been quite bad at keeping you all up to date - but it's all because we've been having such a great time so forgive us :)

Toronot was totally awesome. We had such a good time. There was enough to see during the day - we did not do everything that we had planned. Missed out on the CN tower becuase the weather was cloudy and so we did not think it was worth it to go up when we would not see anything.
But we did manage to see "Fort York" which was almost the basis of the beginnings Toronto. We walked along the water front - something that I feel would have been much nicer if it had not been raining and cold...i think i lost feeling in one side of my face!! OOPS!
The weather outside is frightful...

We're now in Toronto after a brilliant week with Adam in Montreal. I met Adam when travelling Europe with Duncan, and we all got along brilliantly - so much so that we re-joined him again on another two occasions during the month! I'm not sure if he expected either of us to actually take him up on his offer of free accomodation if we were ever in Canada, but he was a very generous and gracious host.
No shred of evidence exists in favour of the idea that life is serious

Boston!
What a totally lovely place and somewhere that I would love to go back to so that I can explore it and the area around it :)
We had a great week. It was my birthday on the Friday so we did a brewery tour (woop woop) it was free to get in and then there were samples at the end. I feel I learnt a lot and have a much better understanding of beer! Particularly since it is becoming my drink of choice, I am glad to have learnt stuff. So my birthday tea - we went to Cheers the Pub, which was totally great fun and such tasty tasty food :)
Don't travel by Greyhound bus - there are cheaper and better options!!

The end of Washington was great - we did all sorts of brilliant things. I loved the Capitol hill - got my geekiness out the system for a while anyway - managed to see the debating rooms. Fab :)
On our last day, we went up the Washington Memorial and saw some great views, the sky was not as clear as it had been other days but we still saw loads :) But then we went to "Georgetown Cupcakes" - we queued outside for 30 minutes - I don't think I have ever queued that long for anything other than disney rides! But man it was so so worth it - they were SO good - and we still have two left!
Washington, Land of Liberty

So over the last 5 days we've seen some of the most iconic American buildngs, objects, statues, areas and views - it's been epic. We're starting to feel a little museumed out, there's only so many dates and places we can take in at once - but it's been a wonderful experience.
We've seeenn.....US Capitol, Library of Congress, Arlington Military Cemetary, The White House, The Supreme Court, Museum of American History, Museum of Natural History, The Air and Space Museum, Washington Monument, The Vietnam War Memorial, Lincoln Memorial...and enjoyed it all.
